Version 2026-11
Science Catalogs Partners: programme terms
These terms apply to everyone who joins the Science Catalogs Partners programme (“partners”). By joining you accept them. Science Catalogs runs the programme from sciencecatalogs.com.
1. Who can join
Anyone with a Science Catalogs account and a confirmed e-mail address. One partner account per person. Science Catalogs staff and their contractors may join but do not appear on the leaderboard.
2. The season
Season 1 runs from 29 October 2026 to 31 March 2027. Only sign-ups and activity within the season earn credits. Science Catalogs may extend the season or start a new one, and will announce it on this site.
3. What counts as a referral
A referral is a person who opens your partner link and creates a new Science Catalogs account within 30 days, on the same device and browser. People who already had an account, and your own accounts, never count. If a person opened links from more than one partner, the first link counts.
4. What earns credits
- A referred person confirms their e-mail address: 10 credits.
- They complete their SciNexID profile to 70% or more: 25 credits.
- They register and pay for a Science Catalogs conference: 100 credits per paid registration.
- They buy VIRAT credits: 50 credits per paid order.
- An institution you introduced signs up for a paid plan: a bonus decided by Science Catalogs and shown before it is added.
Journals are not part of the programme. Submitting, reviewing or publishing a manuscript never earns credits, and a referral never affects any editorial decision.
5. Using credits
Credits can only be spent on the rewards listed on the Credits and rewards page. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money and cannot be transferred to another person. New credits are on hold for 14 days (so refunds and checks can be made) and can then be used for 12 months; unused credits expire after that, including after the season ends. Rewards that need our team are confirmed by e-mail within 3 working days. Science Catalogs may change the rewards on offer; a reward already requested is honoured or the credits are returned.
6. Fair play
Share your links honestly. You must not:
- create accounts for other people, or ask or pay anyone to sign up;
- send spam, or post your links where they are not welcome;
- buy ads on the names Science Catalogs, Scholars Post, SciNexID, VIRAT or Global Research Library;
- claim to work for Science Catalogs, or promise things Science Catalogs does not offer.
Unusual activity, such as many sign-ups from one network, is checked by our team before credits are released. Science Catalogs may withhold or remove credits earned in breach of these terms, and may suspend a partner account. You can ask us to explain any decision.
7. Privacy
You see the first name and last initial of the people who joined through you, the product they joined from and what earned credits. You never see their e-mail address, phone number or activity. We record visits to partner links with a one-way code instead of the visitor’s network address. Your name and institution appear on the leaderboard only if you choose so, and you can change that by writing to us.
8. Campus ambassadors
Campus ambassadors are partners selected by Science Catalogs after an application. The certificate, training sessions and other ambassador benefits are given to ambassadors who take part actively during the season, as described on the Campus ambassadors page. Ambassadors are not employees or agents of Science Catalogs.
9. Changes and leaving
Science Catalogs may change these terms or the credit amounts; changes apply from the date they are published and do not take away credits already earned. You can leave the programme at any time by writing to support@sciencecatalogs.com. Science Catalogs may end the programme with 30 days’ notice; credits already earned stay usable until they expire.
